Default skunk2 stage 1 cams w/ stock valvetrain

i've searched and i've come to the conclsuion these can be ran on a stock itr valvetrain? ive decide after alot of thought that i dont want to mess with my valvetrain so i was thinking about either ctr cams or s2s1 cams. i have s2s2 cams now but i know in order to put them in i have to replace the valvetrain and i no longer want to do that. i just want my hatch to be fun to drive an semi-quick. thanks

p.s. with these cams do they have to be tuned to run? obviously to get the most out of them that is obvious but can then be run without like CTR cams?

i have s2s2 cams and they are ridiculous insane, but at the same time i went with all new valve train. ss valves, titanium retainers and springs. sell your s2s2 cams, if you dont want to upgrade your valve train. then buy the skunk2 stage 1 cams and you'll be fine w/ your stock valvetrain. less tuning and produce quick mid range power, like the way you want it!

Just stay with the stock revlimiter and he's completely right.

Just stop holding back and invest in the new SK2 PRO2 VT and try it out on either your SK2 st1 or SK2 st2. I can almost bet that after you install those cams on your stock VT, your gonna want to change out your VT and REV that hell out of your HONDA. After all what are all honda motors have in common? Don't cheat yourself

I have s2s2 also. I wouldn't say they're ridiculously insane though lol. They're alright. Kinda wanna try Pro 1s instead

ok i have had these cam stage one and just sold them
you can run them with stock valvetrain but using your 8200 rpm rev limiter but i went with just spring skunk2 springs and oem retainer and reved up to 85ish maybe 87oo with tune on crome so i like it those cam are sick for some quick easy power

I ran them on stock valvetrain and they are fine, but keep it at the factory rev limit. The stage 1 is a good cam; you should be happy with the results.

the Skunk2 stage 1 cam is alittle bigger then the TYPE R you will be fine using your stock valve train you will be happy with them but if you do decide to build it go with the PRO1 cams and raise the comp it will have great power

why are you even installing them? Your not going to be happy with them until you get it tuned.

Bullshit... I would repetitively go to 9200K and misshifted several times.

Still running like a champ. B20vtec 5 years old now. 50k+ miles never a single problem.

BTW I'm running stock B16a2 Valvetrain which consists of Duals on Intake, Singles on Exhaust.

But this is Honda-Tech so maybe all the E-motors blowup with one misshift.

I'm also going to have to disagree. I had a pretty terrible misshift, 5th to 2nd. I broke two motor mounts, but didnt do any damage to the motor itself.
