How do you properly gap the spark plug?

i gapped my ngk platinums at 0.042 . some manuals say 0.044 but it should also say on the underside of your hood.
my hood doesn't have the sticker so i just looked in my manual. make sure it has a slight drag when you're gapping it.
and if you can get a hold of a torque wrench torque the plugs to proper specs. and oh yeah make sure you let the motor COOL DOWN...
