GC spring rates HELp
im autocrossing 10-15 events next season. i ran skunk2 full coilovers on my car last season and im upgrading to koni/gc over the winter.
i have these same wheels, well rotas not mugen
, and i want this exact ride height. what spring rates should i run. i want my rear springs to be about 50 higher than the front b.c. even with my ITR rear my car still understeers too much.

that car looks pretty low for RR or Auto-X..
look at the cars in your area.. I auto-X'ed my car once i have WAY to stiff of a set-up for it tho 650F and 1050R springs (and LOTS-o-Camber)

Not sure how much suspension the 6th gens share with the 5th gens, but the 5th gen shares suspension with the 3rd gen Integra, and I'll assume that the 6th isn't too much different. If it is, than anything I say is only applies to 5th gen Civic and 3rd gen Integra.
No spring would be stiff enough at that ride height.
When I had my 00 GSR lowered to that point (tires flushed with the fender), I was sitting on the front bumpstops at ride height, and thats with the GC extended upper mounts. You can't not bottom, when you start your travel basically bottomed to begin with.
Take a ziptie, and put it on the shock shaft, a little loose but tight enough to stay in place. Then lower the car back down and raise it back up again. This will give you an aproximate shock poition at ride height (aprox because the car isn't fully settled). If you see the ziptie in the bumpstop, then thats where your shock is starting its travel from. If it isn't, then go drive the car as agressively as you will during autox. If the tie gets moved up into the bumpstop, then you don't have enough ride height and shock travel to stay off them during competition.

around 1200lbs/in front, 1250lbs/in rear to keep the balance you think you want. needless to say, you'll want to get those koni's revalved for that spring rate. of course, you could also just raise the ride height...
yeah i guess function wins over form. i want to run somewhere between 450f and 500r. so i guess my ride height is getting raised for scca season. oh well, i will have more fun doing auto-x than my car "looking aggressive"
