No doubt the event is beneficial and the intentions are good, but riding around on socal freeways with hundreds of stunters, cruisers, squidly types, etc. does not sound like my idea of fun, nevertheless charity. But that's just me.
On the otherhand I don't see anything wrong with supporting the cause by buying a few tix.... the 636 raffle could def make it worth it!

Nice, I was about to make a thread for this. I am definitely going.
If anyone in the Pasadena/626 area wants to meet up PM me. There's going to be about 10-15 of us.

MySpace Bulletin I got:
It's that time once again for one of the funnest rides of the year with plenty of prizes. And it's for a good cause too!
Our group will be meeting at two locations and riding down to Anaheim.
VALLEY MEET SPOT. Laurel Canyon Blvd. and Riverside Dr.(in North Hollywood) The gas station on the north west corner. (across from Starbucks). We will leave this location at 8AM sharp. From there we will be jumping on the freeway and stopping at the....
LA MEET SPOT. Fletcher Dr. and Riverside Dr. (in Silverlake) right next to the 5 FWY. There is an AM PM on the south east corner across from the Diner. We will be leaving this location at 8:30 sharp so please be gassed up and ready to go.
There will be plenty of freeway riding to the Toy Ride and on the parade. We'll be riding at a moderate to fast pace and lane sharing. So if you're joining our group, keep this in mind and make sure you are comfortable riding like this. (Last year we had a guy, it was his first time on the freeway). I'm pretty good at keeping the group together, but I don't want one person to hold the other 20 or so people back.
If you have any questions send me an email.

From OUTFORFAME, Lets make this big, spread the word around.
When you register make sure to put your bike club "OutForFame"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, the Riverside Zorba's crew (HT segment, lol) are rolling with me. So if you're in the I/E PM and you can meet to leave with them.
Make sure to pre-register online. I would expect it to make things much smoother if you're not obligated to sit in the registration lines. By the way, the pre-registration deadline is now THIS WEDNESDAY instead of the 26th.
