I have a 07 Si and have about 2000 miles on it now. I did everthing in the manual drive it slow for 600. When I check my oil, it was like a quarter of a quart low so I ask my dealer they said because you hit V-TEC your oil level will drop anyone else have same issue ....?

 

1. Did you check your oil after the car was properly cooled down?


& K-series tend to "burn" oil a bit faster than other motors.

 

Most cars use a little bit of oil wen they are first broken-in. Keep an eye on the level after your first change.

 

I checked the oil when cooled down and when dead cold still quarter of a quart low I also call three dealers and they said the same that your oil level dropping is normal

 

Just because the car is cool it doesnt mean the oil reading is right
let it sit for a WHILE.

I didnt check any of the K-series i've owned
and i'm on car with a K # 4.

I get fully synthetic mobil 1 every 3k.

Never had ANY issues.
