well me and my fiancee found another dealer that have our Fiji Blue and we got it from them. Now this dealer that we've $500 deposit on month ago won't give it back unless the same car that we've order sell first in order to get our refund back. Does that sound right?? anyone knows??

p.s. excuse my english..it's my third languages. thanks

It should not be a hassle, call your CC company and dispute the charge. Never trust the dealer. Especially, if you are going through regular salesperson.

Did you call Honda yet?

its not like they wont be able to sell it, so why are they trippin? When i got mine, i was told if i didnt like the price or car i can say no and i would be handed my check back.

They can't hold the money unless you signed a form saying it was a non-refunable deposit. It's the law.

If they cant sell it, i know for a fact there is a dealer out there who can, they can trade it to another dealer and bam! Done deal.... these cars are too hot to sit around

Thanks for the heads up. I only found two honest dealers in my area out of like 10. It is cool to find another honest person at a dealer. I wish they were easier to come by.

Im in the market for an Si and everyone i spoke to said the 500 deposit was fully refundable. How are they not going to be able to sell that Si? Idiots all over the states are paying 5k over sticker for the damn things. The demand is so high there is no way they will not sell it. Especially when dealerships are getting little trickles of Si's every 3 months. Sorry to hear about that man. What a hassle.

Work through someone who is not on commission (Internet Sales/Fleet Manager) or find a broker to work through. It is easier to get MRSP or below on them.

After my 06 Si got totaled, I went searching for an 07. I was working with Della Honda in Plattsburgh, NY and they literally sold the car with my deposit on it AFTER they sent the VIN information to my insurance company. Not only that, but the silver 07 HFP wheels I'd paid for were also sold to someone else. They a) weren't going to tell me and b) weren't going to give me my money back. And guess who bought the car?

The general manager. Then he gave it to his son.......

I called my lawyer, which is why I can't say anymore. I ain't nuthin to f*ck with....

Hey, what problems did you have with Autofair in Manchester? I too had problems with them. They were sitting on my deposit because they also sold the car I put the deposit on. I should've written all of this down.

By the way, I called Honda corporate and they didn't do **** about it but a slap on the wrist. They still need to sell cars, apparently.
