leaking problem
hey all ive been noticing lately that when ever it rains i get a puddle of water in my Ek its a 96 civic Cx. Basically my problem is the rear trunk area of the car and also the passenger floor would get 100% completely saturated. I ended up having to rip out my carpeting because of the water retaining inside and me worrying of the floorboard rusting out. Not to mention the horrible smell of mildew lingering around in the car no matter what I did to try and remove it. So i whent to my local wally world and bought some silicone adhesive / sealant but the problem is i dont know where it is leaking I know the rear is probably my brake light. But i ran water from a hose over my car today to see if i could see where its getting in on the passenger side and couldnt find water running or dripping anywhere. so i have sealant to fix it but does anyone know where it is most likely leaking from up there. Like anybody had this problem and fix it please help im replacing the carpet with a new black one in a few days because im sick of my girl whining that the metal floor is cold (she rides in the car with no shoes for some reason). But yea im putting it in but dont want to put it in until the leaking is done an over with... any help will be greatly apprieciated thank you

The good news is if the rear is leaking from the brake light, then you should start by replacing the foam/rubber seal between the tail light and the chassis.
The bad news is that leak in front, you have to have the front glass resealed, meaning go to a glass repair shop and they will take out the front glass put in that new glue that turns to rubber and put the glass back in. I had the same problem but mine was leaking on both sides when it rained.
