Default redshiftmotorsports supercharger 370 intercooled horsepower

Discuss

Are you ready for the new generation of supercharged Honda/Acuras?
We are currently developing a line of RedShift Supercharger Systems...
the first of which will be the 2006 Civic Si for which we are aiming at 370 intercooled
brake horsepower from a completely stock engine using the same advanced
Rotrex superchargers used on the Koenigsegg CCX (the 250 mph supercar)

370 "Brake Horsepower"

What does that break down to at the wheels...330-340?

still very impressive for supercharger

Any questions I can answer. Its my SI the first kit is going on. Should be completed VERY shortly with some dyno's and what not to follow. If something breaks its mine, but I assure you EVERYTHING is over engineered, just ensure there are not any issues. Greg

Brake horsepower is the same thing as wheel horsepower --- HP at the wheel/brake/hub. All breaks down the same, but most other countries refer to WHP as BHP.

any engine prep needed for this kit to be pushing that much h/p on a stock block? the numbers sound almost too good to be true. also any modification needed to the fuel system? im sure an upgraded fuel pump and larger injectors are needed. just wondering what this kit is all about. i would def like to have some more info on this kit, very interested!!

Sign me up! But pardon my skepticism. I guess in this case seeing is believing. And a nice pocket of change I'm sure is needed.

As to date, I haven't found anything in my area for a Supercharger or Turbo other than GReddy.

i dont know that an engine build would be necessary, but it definitely couldnt hurt. AJP has pushed their kit to 370+whp at 8.5 psi on a stock block, and as of yet there have been no problems reported on any of the boards. as to how long a block will last pushing that much power with stock internals remains to be seen. im sure it wont last too long. maybe a year or so. but then u build the block and push out WAY more hp and tq and yea u spend more money but you'll have more fun.

it would be better if this kit (for 5grand) included everything needed to run safely... injectors, fuel management, fuel pump, etc.
still looks to have incredible numbers for a supercharger. definitely wanna see one on a car running.

if anyone's interested in this kit, youd better look into dropping a pretty penny to get forged internals.

we also came to the conclusion that centrifugal superchargers didnt make much sense.

why not turbo?

No internal engine mods will be needed!!! It will be an extremely SAFE kit. Tuning will be handled by a Hondata Ref-flash.

Aren't these the same superchargers that jackson racing are using now or developing systems with?

It reminds of the vortech superchargers, all the power was up really high and not very useable.

HIGHREV1...when will you have your car done and with specs....I really dont see how there is going to be 370 hp with just a supercharger...but who knows....with Hondata doing the engine management sounds like a good thing. Can you send me a few pics of the final product?

I know that it isn't wasy without a finished product but claiming hp numbers before installation is very easy actually... air + fuel * heat and flow efficiency variables = hp more or less. Add cylinder knock sensitivity on a given fuel mode and you have something. Very shortly..ie week or less. I will get pics and dyno's asap.

The Rotrex superchargers are different than the Vortechs. They should make boost a lot sooner. I want to say I heard there is an internal planetary gearset.
