Default Car Idle's to high

Great! the Thermostat was the problem. The car doesn't over heat anymore. Thanks everyone that helped, Now for another question can someone tell me why is it the my 95 accord rev's up and down and then stays above 1000 rpm for a while? Ever since a put an intake in my car this has been happening. I also have a couple of hoses that never go connected to anything. Where should those loose hoses be connected too? There is only one port on the intake tunnel so I put one of the hoses on that. Any Idea's?

your car rev's "up and down" cause your confusing the heck out of your ecm.. please do plug any vacuum leaks you may have.. not saying this will fix it, but it will definately help...

i own a 94 accord ex and recently had the same problem. it ended up being the fast idle valve $75-$120, also the throttle body needed to be cleaned (about $60). i ended up paying $290 at napa. i payed $120 for the valve and the cleaner was about 40 bucks. it runs fine now. i was going to do it myself but: 1. i didnt have time and 2. you cant get the cleaner for the throttle body just anywhere.

good luck
