I recently got into an accident where the passenger side of my radiator support got pushed in. The radiator support is pretty much trashed, but I was wondering if I should try and replace it myself. The top of the car's frame is tweaked near the fender and only on the passenger side where the top of the radiator support is spot welded on. I talked to a shop today and he said he would use a frame machine to straighten out. I'm wondering if you guys had done this type of repair yourself and the fitment of everything was good afterwards?

what you can do is swap it from another car.
they are spot welded. so need to drill it out to take it off.
sooo...i guess to the shop?? insurence wouldnt cover it??

Well no matter what the frame is gonna have to be straightened. I got hit by an uninsured driver so right now I'm just trying to get it fixed to look decent.
i got into a fender bender about a month ago too and the rad core support was damaged a little. i ended up doing the job with a friend. spot wells are a bitch to do because there is about 20-30 spots on EACH side. other than that, the job was well worth it. i have a jdm front end now. anyway, we started sat morning around 11am and finished it by 10pm the same day. oh yeah, if ur going to do the job at home, make sure u have extra drill bits.
