Turbo GSR exhaust question
Hey hows it going? I have the greddy 18g kit with 550s on my 95 gsr. The car was tuned using crome pro on an open downpipe. I have been driving it with stock piping from the dp back and no axle back. Would it be worth it to go ahead and jump on a cheap catback for now or would the gains not be worth it? I plan on going the kteller route but I can pick up a used catback locally for dirt cheap and just wanted to know if it would be a good purchase.
did you say you were running the stock exhaust? if you are def get something else, im running the kteller, but if all you can afford is that cat back, go that route, you will see gains, maybe not crazy but gains none the less
The car currently has the greddy dp and the stock exhaust to where the axle back would bolt up (no axle back currently installed).
It will make better gains, i would deffently stay away from the stock exhaust when going turbo. Better yet you could just run open downpipe and no exhaust at all.
check with a local exhaust place and see how much they would charge you for doing it from the DP back with mandrel bends.... I think that will be your best bet or you could look around here and see what you can find.... I would get rid of the stock piping though
i just got the hayame catback for cheap, it will do for now. It is 2.36" piping so it should be decent. I would go to a local place but nobody around here does mandrel bends, just crush bent.
