Default noises

i currently own a 2000 civic si and when shifting through 1st - 3rd if i let off the gas i get this scraping sound also while im down shifting from 3rd - 1st. it sounds like plastic against my tire but theres nothing even close. oh the sound also goes away when ever i engage my clutch.. could it be my tranni f*ckin up?

May be your pilot bearing. how many miles? Do you beat the crap out of your car?

i say input shaft bearing, mine does the same thing but i notice it when i downshift to help slow the car.

i found out that noise was my throtle bearing. on top of that my tranni fluid was low, so yeah. i just installed a new clutch and flywheel. thanks anyway

if i was u i would stop downshifting to slow down.. thats why u have brakes...
