I have posted this same topic a few times and searched many times and have not found much. I have found that you must run new brake lines, proportioning valve and brake booster. Obviously the lines I can do myself but where am I going to get the rest of the stuff, will the 4th gen stuff work and also have the same stopping power ?
You can use any choice of proportioning valve, a 4g one would work fine
You don't need a different brake booster, the only reason we change them on the 4g is because the master cylinder is different....you're just going to have a hell of a time getting all the fittings the right size...

ok so i dont have to change the whole brake booster. Hmmm ......I found a master cylinder from a 4th gen without abs but in order to run that I would need to change the brake booster to a 4th gen correct and also run new lines?

I also found this thread which explains things alittle better but isnt prelude specific.

The master cylinder has nothing to do with the ABS system....the only reason you have to change them is because the non-abs 4g preludes use different fittings on the brake lines
So, you can keep your current master....all you need is a prop. valve and to run lines...

Yes you can run an non-abs axle, the only difference is in the small teeth along the circumfrence of it. You also will always have an abs light unless you remove the bulb
