Alright guys heres my current situation. Lately i'v been smelling power steering fluid comming from my car. I checked my fluid and it is still at the same level so i doubt it's a leak and if it is it's a damn small one. but what i have noticed is a whineing sound comming form what seems like my tranny. does anyone else have this problem? Or anyone know what it is?

 

you sure its ps fluid, or can it possibly be tranny fluid?
Check for transmission leaking.

 

Is the fluid level low? If it is then that could cause your sound.

 

it's been raining so everything looks clean on my tranny, ill wait it out and check again. my power steering fluid is kind of low but not to the point where it'll make any noise. it's at the half way point of full low mark...anyone else have an idea?

If your tranny is whining, check the fluid level... then come back and ask H-T. You could have a bad bearing in the tranny, or it could just be loud because of low fluid.
