I've tried punching in the corect stereo code and the system just beeps after each attempt. No unlock. It worked when I had previously changed out a battery, but now it doesn't.

Any ideas? Do these stereo's get permanently locked out after X number of failed attempts? If so, anyone know how it can be reset?

 

disconnect the battery and then give it a try after a few minutes. if it doesnt work, then i'm not sure whats wrong

You won't be permanently locked out as far as I know. 5 wrong attempts means you're locked out for an hour, but after that you can try 5 more times.
