Turbo stock D16a6 or Suspenison?
So I'm kind of in a crisis deciding what I want to do next to my EF. I have a 1990 Civic EX, and I'm looking at either putting some lowering springs or coilovers on my car, or possibly trying to piece together a turbo set up on my stock D16a6 w/ 205k miles. What are my options for $300?
Well i think a turbo is out of the question for that budget. It might be possible with junker parts. You could spray it if you could find a second hand nitrous kit. Plus don't cheap out on the coilovers.
also forgot to mention, i may look into doing a mini-me swap, but i'm not sure if it's worth it at all. any other options that would increase power a good bit for $300? I already have I/E.
The mini me swap will give you at most about 20 more hp. You could get a good clutch/lightweight flywheel combo for that much. I know it's probably not the best, but i got a stage 3 clutch and light(12 lb) flywheel off ebay for like $310 and have had no problem out of it. Probably wouldn't go with that high stage clutch for daily driver though.

ebay. ... and at 205k, i would go the cheap suspension route. trying to make that tired motor fast, will make it blow up fast.
