I am in the clackamas/portland area in Oregon....if anyone knows anything about this by chance please let me know, this car was my baby. Only car i've ever owned and i have over 30 grand invested in it.... thanks

i wish people could just work as hard as i did for my money for my car stuff and realize how gay it is that people jack **** cuz they are poor filthy bastard childs
I got my cd7 stolen in Portland about 2 months ago. They just took it for a joyride though and stole my deck... Hopefully you are that lucky.. although mine was pretty much stock. Best of luck with the insurance man.
Messed up- sorry to hear it.
When we lived in N San Diego County ******** tried to steal my 1994 2 times. Never got it (I was lucky), but the ******** did damage both times I had to repair.
This is one reason we left San Diego county, and eventually SoCal alltogether- people with the morals of animals, and it was getting so I had to really worry about the safety of my wife and daughters. I am being serious here, the state of society has gotten worse since I was young, and seems to be getting worse as time passes....
Some advice regarding insurance. When we got to Colorado I had to change to Colorado AAA from Cal. AAA insurance. I had just finished up the entire suspension/brakes and installed the rims/ new tires. I had kept the receipts for all the parts ( for parts warranty).
I called AAA Colorado, and took the car down to get the policy written and pictures taken by the local AAA office. They had to have it approved by an underwriter, but I had a policy written to cover the base car and all the upgrades-it really didn't cost very much more. They would only do it because I had all the reciepts. Later, after I build the engine/clutch I will go back down to have this stuff added. (At this point the car is covered about $3500 over book-value).
They asked questions indicating they would not cover highly modifed suspensions and NOX systems, (for insurance companies these are safety issues. I didn't say this, they did!!). And I doubt they will cover over $7K-$8K maximum.
I have to be honest, theft is one of the reasons I don't intend to go over around $8K for the entire restoration (actually, quite a bit of upgrades if you do all the labor. For the $8K it will be a pretty nice car). I would hate the thought of spending $20-$30,000 and having the car stolen.. and my experience is if it's nice, it will eventually be stolen. For those that have invested $$$$ for a race-grade car, I don't know what to suggest, maybe garage it and buy a "beater" to park at work?
When we lived in SoCal, the number of theft attempts on our cars' stereo systems "cured" me of high-end systems. I don't spend too much time in my cars, so I stop at around $700 for a stereo system.
I had to learn the hard way if it looks good, it's going to go. And it's not the cost of the damned sound equipment, it's the @#$%^&* damage I had to repair every time. Since installing lower-end equipment, we have not had an attempt at break-in for the equipment.
I guess the "lower end stuff" isn't "good enough" for these punks. Just the way I like it. When I was younger I always had $$$$ sound systems, but it's just not worht the damage to the car every time some punk tries to break into the car.
Sorry you lost your car. And some info RE insuring upgrades, but if you go real expensive I am positive you won't be able to get the upgrades insured.... Wrenchy

i drove around last night after it happened a little to scope a few areas known to have car stealers, but the information i got didnt lead right to a house...but i got a few people on my list of supsects....cuz the night before it was stolen a "ricer" group had pulled in the parking lot right as i was leaving after closing (probably scoping the place) and it seemed suspicious to me....then the next day my car was gone....so if anyone knows anyone in the portland area that owns a silver s2000 with a silver hard top or a 80's-early 90-s body style BMW thats red and had some gay decal/sticker (i think it was a checkered design) over one of the front fenders....they rolled in about a group of 5 or so but ya...i wanna catch these ******* cuz i guess the dude with the s2k is known to steal cars but thats heard from a friend of a friend type of deal.... soooooooo again lets get these *******

because i am part of that group your talking about. the green 5th gen accord with them is mine. we were in that area filming some footage of our cars for a video we're making. and the silver s2k doesnt have a hardtop, if you described it to people that it does they must be thinking of someone else because i too know of another silver s2k int he area with a silver hardtop, dont know the guy though.
we dont steal cars. some of us has been victims of theft also, including the red bmw. and we're not ricers, bitch. so get your **** straight before jumping to conclusions.
