Default which tranny should i go with???

cant seem to find this anywhere but here it goes. i have been building up my ls/vtec b18b1 bottom end with a b18c1 head, its been ported and polished and has a 5-angle valve job done. one of the last things im looking for is a good vtec tranny. something with shorter gearing so i dont get out of vtec everytime i shift. i think i want to go with a b18 tranny but then was told that the b16b tranny was awesome too. i dont have a grand to spend on a tranny though. so what should i do. (i want lsd for autoX) should i just take my b18b1 tranny and add obx lsd? thanks in advance.

b16a1 tranny (no lsd) b16b tranny (lsd) i know the ratios are close to the same but i don't know exactly. the short gear ratios are going to make driving on the freeway a bitch
