Default Headlight wiring

I don't feel like typing out my whole reason for needing this, but is there a way to get the low beams to stay on while the high beams are on? '94 EX, btw

Yes, there is a way, but having the low and high beams lit in a dual-filament bulb will overheat it. Basically, you don't want to do it.

I'm not worried about overheating the bulbs, I just need to know how to wire it up

My point is that you should be worried. The best case would be that they simply burn out, but the worst case would be that they explode in your headlight housings. What are you trying to accomplish by doing this?

Fine, you dragged the story out of me. I bought a wrecked EX, and the front headlights are pointed down. At night I can't see more than 10 feet ahead of me with the high beams. I went out and bought some driving lights that I wired into the high beams, so now I can see. Right now, the low beam works fine, and then the driving lights take over the high beam, so the second filament isn't energized. This leaves a gap in lighting towards the sides of the car, which I could solve by leaving the low beam on all the time. Now, how do I wire it?

You use a diode... connect the power from the high to the power to the lows with a one directional diode... obviously so that the only direction the current flows is from the highs to the lows.

um, why don't you get new bulbs, or adjust the one s you have, or fix your damage

Fixing the car costs more then I paid for the car. Anyway, I just want to energize both the low and high beam wires, not the bulb itself. Also, does anyone have a side by side picture of sedan vs coupe corner lights?

Ok, I think I'm starting to understand what you want to accomplish. You want the low beams to function, but you only want to use the wiring from the high beams (not the actual high beams themselves) to power the driving lights. And the problem you're having is that when you turn the high beams on, the low beams are switching off. The easiest would be to simply wire the driving lights up using a relay and a separate switch.

I was thinking about that. The kit came with everything to wire it up seperately, I just didn't feel like running more wires when I've already got some from the factory. I thought about re-energizing the high beam filament, but I'm worried that running 4 bulbs might pop the fuse

Ok, did some reading, and it looks like if I run the positive wire form the high beams into the negative in the low beams, the low will come on when I switch to high. Anyone think that'll work?

I ALREADY TOLD YOU WHAT TO DO...

If you run a direct wire from the high to the low the high will be on with the lows... IE BOTH lights will be on ALL the time...

To energize both ONLY when the highs are on you need to use a diode... it prevents flow from the low to the high but allows it from high to low...

As far as the corner lights...

the 4 doors are longer than the 2/3 doors.

You need 4 door fenders to make 4 door corners fit... they're too long to fit in the coupe/hatch fenders... then you run into bumper alignment issues... the 2dr bumper won't line up perfectly to the 4 door fenders... although it'll all bolt together. basically the line of the fender flares won't line up right with the bumper... although it's not THAT noticable.
