Default RESISTOR BOX ON 89 CIVIC

okay...i have 89 civic si with a D16y8 motor in it.....does this car have a resistor box in it...cause im having trouble with my RC440's(saturated)....im pretty sure they dont have a resistor box

its your car you should know. anywase pop the hood and look in the right corner near the windsheild is there a little silver box that sorta looks like a mini amp? what obd is your car? you can put obd0 injectors on that motor and run the resistor or you can use obd1 injectors and not need the resistor.

its obviosly an ODB0 car with a d16y8 motor so thats OBD-2 and im runnin a P28 computer.....ill look for the resistor box......ill look on the right side and see if i see anything......its something is plugged in should i just take it out?

so its obd1 then im guessing you didnt put the motor in so most likely there is no resistor box. you can make any motor any obd your d16y8 is orignaly a obd2 motor but its obd1 now cause you have an obd1 ecu. what are you trying to do again?

ok if you dont want to run the resistor box you need obd1 injectors the you take the plug where the resistor box is and cut off the resistor box then solder all 5 wires together on that green plug. dont cut the plug off the engine harness cut the plug off the resistor box that way you could change it back if you need to.

i did put the motor in....but i havnt got a chance to see if thier is a resistor box...and no i have injectors for that motor d16y8(99 civic) OBD-2)....i dont think thier is a resister box...
