Hey guys, I have a H22a motor(auto) in my car. The problem is that my motor rpm drops down and then up, sounding like it's going to die for a bit and then not. This only happens on the "D" gears when I come to a complete stop sometime. I say it does this about 75% of the time. What could be the problem for this? Could it be that I need to clean my "fast idle control valve" and "Idle air control valve"? Help me out guys....

my f23 did that same thing, I cleaned my ICV and the rpm drop did stop and my car idled high again in the cold, but my car still surges alot when i let of the throttle at idle.

BUT it stays on 700 though

 

So you're saying your car's idle rpm drops down and up sounding like its going to die too? And then when you clean the ICV, it stop the dropping and up rpm? But again in the cold?

 

other words It used to not idle high when it was cold outside, Once i cleaned it, it went back to normal inculding the idle drop and idle.


but i still have surging issus at (700)idle though
