b16 quick question..

Default b16 quick question..

alright guys heres my question..i will be swapping a b16 into my eg hatch(dx) ..my question is will everything go smoothly? what new motor mounts do i need ..will it be a much more different swap from a stock motor swap? besides the harness and ecu what other things would i need to make this a successful swap..thanks .i would prefer answers from people who have done this swap previously..

1. Everything will go smoothly unless you are not prepared.
2. What model car is the B16 coming from? (if EG6 or EG2, then no need for new mounts, reuse stock)
3. It will bolt in, but you'll need to wire VTEC solenoid, VTEC pressure switch, and knock sensor (if using P30).
4. You need axles and shift linkage.

i have this EXact set-up and the only thing that isnt proper is my tranny mount and im not sure but i beleive it is because my car was auto b 4 the swap so u might want to look into that

i didnt have any problems per say, but there were a few things that i needed to research to find, such as proper mounts, pinning your new ecu for vtec.
i had a pretty easy time for my first swap, went smoothly. took about 8h start to running.
theres a picture somewhere that gives the proper mounts which i dont know where it is on here.

If it is coming out of a 2nd generation integra, than you will need a hydraulic transmission, otherwise all the mounts from a 3rd generation integra will work. You can still use your stock civic tranny mount and rear mount.
