Default Traded spoon n1 for T1r....

While trying to sell my spoon n1 i was offered a trade for a t1r axleback. Since my car isnt stock i could realy use the 2.5" piping vs. the spoon 60mm.. and my midpipe is even bigger at 70mm so even though i like the way the spoon looked i realy needed something bigger. So i just got it in the mail and had nothing better to do so i threw it on..
i cant recall his h-t user name but thanks to jiho yang form GA, you should be getting you spoon n1 in the mail real soon . very good guy and gets my vouch and i should have my first offical h-t vouch since i dont deal alot of business on here thanks to those few people who have to ruin it for all of us.. only snapped a couple pics since i was in a hurry.

BEFORE..

AFTER..

i am pretty happy with how it looks.. inside the car the noise level is not bad at all.. hopefully i get a friend to take it around the block so i can hear how loud it is coming down the street..

yes but they dont have a flat flange which means a donut gasket has to be used.. which basicaly has the same result of a bottleneck. which doesnt make it a true 2.5" axleback.. plus i tried a few diff donut gaskets and none worked correct with the 2.5" axleback and 2.75" midpipe so i was getting a leak..

thats because your running a bigger b pipe then your rear section, thats even worse then having a bottle neck

you should have kept your spoon n1 and just get a type 1 b pipe, its 2.5 and they use a donut gasket flange that whould bolt up perfect to the spoon n1

how do they use a donut gasket flange on their b pipe when the t1r axleback is a flat flange.. i still have the original 2.75" axleback but its way too loud..

i plan to get the t1r resonated test pipe and b pipe eventually.. or sell the axleback and get a full hytech tl if the noise gets too much to handle.. but driving it once it seems fine inside the car.. i guess once i have someone drive it and me listen i will determine weather its going to attract some unwanted police attention..

type 1 and t1r are different companie, t1r is a side company of a&j racing, type 1 is side company of spoon sports

if this one gets to be too loud for me then ill throw on the stock catback for the time being until i can get the hytech.. wheels are a big #1 on the list to get before i worry about other things..

2.75" is ideal for anything more than a mild 1.8L, in fact, many would argue 3" would be ideal for 2.0L setups.

Looks good.

BTW T1R has a limited production 70mm catback right now, comes with a resonated testpipe as well.

Type-One is actually Spoon's garage/shop. No Type-One products exist besides the orange sticker. They're located 5 minutes from eachother, but if you go to Spoon's "headquarters", its a bunch of office equipment and a couple floors of storage. Type-One is where all the cars are worked on.

haha.. why does your email say jiho yang?? i was trying to find my pm's on here from you and just post your member name.. but i guess they already expired and i couldnt find your name.. anyway a good person to deal with.. put a lot of trust in me with this deal and dont worry the spoon is gona be out in a couple days.. ill email you the info once i get it..

i think its something among the type r community that we have a certain trust with eachother.. which i thought was pretty cool that you let me recieve the exhaust and switch them out then send you mine since for a couple more weeks this is my daily driver..

as far as any power difference.. just with a quick ride from my moms where the garage is and back to my apartment i could tell a difference. i think the incorrect donut gasket and the leak had somehting to do with that.. i think you should have better luck since your midpipe isnt as big.

I don't think I'll ever understand how exhaust works. I don't even run a 3" exhaust on my 6.0.
