Default tps question?

ok my car is throwing a code 7 which is tps sensor. I replaced it when i put the motor in, and i know i need to calibrate the sensor. I know how to do this but my question is, if the calibration is off can it cause the car to rev slower than normal??? my car rev's but seems a little sluggish revving up. I just put this motor in and this is the only code i'm getting. is it possible or is it something else?? any ideas? tia

bump for you...,

im having a similar problem. in the manual it says another possibility is a bad ground on one of the wires near the right shock tower. dunno if this helps

If you did a swap and went from DPFI to MPFI then you needed to swap the two wires on the TPS sensor (I think its the outer two wires dont quote me)

i guess theoretically its possible, if your out of adjustment, you would run either too rich or too lean depending on which way its off....and a bad air/fuel mixture would rob you of power giving you a slower rev...but i don't think that it would be to the point where you would significantly notice it

RED SI fix the known bad first then go from there it is very possible that your engine reving slowly is because of the tps.

Fix it, then let us know, usually it dose not happen because of TPS.

double check your valve and ignition timing, could have skipped a tooth maybe... cuz that would def cause that problem and it wouldn't throw a computer code
