quick noob question....
im about to dolly my car, but the front rotors arent on the car. can i just throw on the wheels to roll the car around to get it up on the dolly w/o putting on the rotors/brakes? or will it roll funky w/o the whole front brake system put together? its just a 2 wheel dolly and the front is obviously going on and the rear will be on the ground. i know im gonna have to use the e-brake for any braking that i will need. the car is completely apart with no motor, interior, ect. thanks!
I'm not to sure, but I would think it would be alright without the brakes. But I think that you should atleast put some rotors on there seeing as though the front wheels rest against the rotors.
I would think you might have some clearance problems with just putting the wheels without any rotors. The rim might rub against the front spindles.

well the reason why im asking is cause i dont have any rotors. and wont the rotors only add like 1/4 more clearence? i would really just buy wheel spacers instead. i dont really want to go out and buy spacers just to move the car

I just mocked it up and it clears but this is with a type R front spindle and UKDM itr wheel.
Instead of buying spacers just go to your local autozone and just buy some rotors. They are fairly cheap and are actually good rotors.

if they are the wheel dollys i'm thinkin about, the ones that go under the wheels, just put some blocks on them and let it sit on the frame. Besides, the old skool way is to just use a regular floor jack and pick it up by the rad support (ONLY if there is no Engine/Trans and drag it around.
Something to keep in mind no matter how you move it. If you have Calipers installed (plumbed) and there are no rotors and pads, dont step on the brake pedal. you could hyper extend the piston in the caliper, and then you will need new calipers...on the other hand, if that does happen, its a good excuse to get spoon calipers

Whats the dif between the type r spindle and uk wheels vs. us gsr spindle and wheel?
ps.....thanks for the reminder about hyper extending the piston. that is totally sumthin i would do by accident!

No idea, but I thought I would mention it just in case you tried it and it didn't work. I mentioned the wheels because you might have a different set with a different offset, which can cause a problem.
