replacing radiator
anyone have a DIY or a write up on how to remove the rad.. give me all the steps there is.. thanks. let me know need it asap.. how do i bleed the air out of the coolant system on a 95 accord ex.. when i replace the rad? thanks
its easy on the bottom of the rad there is a butterfly screw undo that to drain the rad. Then unbolt the two fans and if it is an auto undo the two tranny hoses on the bottom then take out the rad after the hoses are removed dont remember the sizes and stuff but that is pretty much it
then to purge it
that nipple there in the dead center there. First you fill the rad with cooliant then let it run for 5 min to open the t stat in idle unscrew that nipple to let water squirt dont open it all the way just enough to let some water come out do that till you see pure water for bout a min straight if air comes out restart the timer you feel me then fill up your reseuvior and it all gravity

This would be a good time to just spend $15 on a Haynes manual at your local Pep Boys, Autozone, etc. Will give you step by step procedures for quite a few things, including this.
Or pick up the Helms manual for an even more complete write-up.

i dont have a write up or anything. but i actually just replaced mines no write up or anything, it isn't hard at all, just a couple of hoses.
just pop ur hood and give it a try

That pic is of the damn nipple. Obviously you don't need to mess with a car if you need step by step instructions to change a radiator. Its pretty simple like others have said. If you have any kind of automotive knowledge you can figure it out yourself, and if not get a damn manual

Talk about appreciation.

I really got to ask- how do you ever get stuff done?
Get a Helms manual for your car (do a search for "Helms manuals" on your browser). Helms writes the manuals for Honda- they are the tech manuals dealers use in the shops.
About $75 bucks. It will show you every single nut and bolt on the car, every single electrical diagram, every single torque-spec for every fastener on the car that needs to be torqued.
For your radiator, it has step by step tear-out procedures, with pictures of every single step, and will have a schematic showing how every single piece fits together.
You could buy a Haynes, but save the money- eventually you will need this manual if you keep the car. Just trying to help, buy the manual and save yourself tons of time having to post questions about something you could flip the cover open and answer every question for the radiator in 5 minutes.
Not trying to step on your toes, but I really, really have to wonder how you guys get anything done without a tech-grade shop manual (except techs who work on Hondas 8/40 and already know the cars inside/out). Wrenchy

Im shocked majority of people are working on there cars WITHOUT A MANUAL! You have to be completely insane! http://www.hondahookup.com has THE Factory Honda Service Manual .. Download it.. USE IT! It will tell you how to install 80% of ALL MODS!
Ha loser! Take it to a shop like a girl and get your A$$ raped!
Can you even figure out where to refill the radiator once you install it or you need a step by step on that 2?
