Default Need to know what wire tap on TPS could have been used for.

OK i bought a 99 GSR from a guy about 6 months ago. All that he had done to it was rims and suspension. Nothing engine wise. After having the car for 6 months i was doing a little tune-up and was in the process of changing my PCV valve. While doing so i noticed that there was one of those little easy splice connectors on a wire coming off my TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). I can’t find out what i could have been used for. I asked a few guys that i hang out with on the weekends and a couple of them said it was either used for a nitrous switch or for something with a V-TEC controller. Can anyone think of any other possibilities?

Anything to do with throttle position is
most likely for a VTEC controller
or AFC, or perhaps a electronic
nitrous injection system.
Look at the underdash harness
where it plugs into your ecu
and scan for shrink tubing,
electrical tape or pigtails
(clipped wires). If you
see any of these or
anything that doesnt appear
factory...its no virgin.
