My Godson and I both have 90 Integra, mine a hatch, his a 4 door. Both will be doing mods but in a different degree. Mine for 1/8th mile drag strip, his for a mix of street and strip. Here are my basic questions for my application. Budget is allways an issue here so Im interested in Most Cost effective mods first. And prefer to stay all motor, but will consider turbo applications after engine is strong enough to take the extra power of boost over 15 psi.

1. Where can I find a 1 piece front clip either integra, or civic if it will fit.
2. Where can I find fiberglass doors/hatch/sunroof.
3. Is it possible and worth the effort to swap from auto to manual trans.
4. My intentions are to start on the driveline and suspension before heavy engine mods, what is the best route there.
5. Engine wise is it worth the effort to re-sleeve or hone the sleeves of the B18a1 engine and go with a larger displacement or just go with a drop in package like a JDM Integra VTec or Non VTec based engine (prefer non vtec).
6. What is a good or legal thickness of synthetic glass replacment for track only.
7. I want to run a 10.5 tire on the front, so this build has to be based on that tire size, so I know the transaxle setup, and body mods need to be able to reflect this needed modification.

On the Godsons car, Cost is a big factor for a teen with only a part time job. Naturally cool is what he wants, but cool on a budget is the tip here. What can be his best and most cost effective way to get more felt power for the buck. And yes its hard to be cool in a 4 door car but hey for the kids first car he loves it. And with a Godfather that likes the track and honda/acura platforms instead of the normal people my age running gas monsters on the track.

I know thats a bunch to list in one post, but would rather not be a post ***** and make 15 different posts to get the same info. Just the same I will scout the prev threads for similiar info. I had to create a new profile since I couldnt remember my old one from a year or so ago when I ran my CRX and Prelude. And as Allways this is a kick *** forum and I am thankful to those who make it possible.

 

Just to be Clear on what my car is to be used for. And what it is.

1990 Acura Integra GS Hatch, Auto Trans. Currently stock cept a CAI.

1/8th mile dragstrip ONLY, no 1/4 mile, no street, it will be trailer carried to and from the track. Tire size for drive tires will need to be 10.5" and run a true 10.5" slick tire. Rear can be any size. Suspension needs to be adjustable for tuning at the track for better launching. All Motor is prefered for now, with possible use of NOS but no rush on that. Current engine is stock wich I believe is a B18a1 if not mistaken, so I prefer not to do a swap for now. Budget is a concern but will get what I need as time goes on. I just need it track worthy from day one, and improve as time goes on.

The car currently has no interior, and will only retain the factory steering wheel, shifter, and half of the dash til a custom one can be fabbed up. All glass will be removed, and replaced with poly. Bumper supports and all extra weight will be removed so I can add weight where I NEED it, this allows me to compensate for my FAT *** (5' 11" 265 lbs)

Exhaust will come off and will be a strait pipe with spark arrester per track requirements. Current Trans is AUTO, and yes I know I would rather have a manual and that if I do a swap I need to find the floor plates, and the whole guts for the petal and so on, maybe even do a front clip swap which is too much trouble. For now the Auto has to stay, so if you can help on any goodies that will help on it plz suggest it.

Can anyone post a link for the Fiberglass parts if any for the 90 Integra. I am currently stuck with dial up til my ISP gets there act together.
