Default installing strut bar on eg hatch.

i was told one time that the proper way to install a strut bar is to lift your vehicle off the ground first and then tighten everything. is this true?

No, you don't have to lift your vehicle.

is this a joke?

when you lift your car, after you loosen your shock tower bolts, the shock will get dropped a bit, it will mess you up more than it helps you when installing strut bar.

are you sure they werent talking about a sway bar? Not a good idea to lift your car while your strut mount bolts are off.
