Intermitent Battery Light 90 accord auto
So the battery light on my 90 coupe auto came on this morning. It did not do it the night before. In neutral, revving past 2.5krpm turns the light out.
Alternator?
Normally I would say no question but it is cold and rainy here so perhaps the battery is going south?
opinions, Battery, Alternator?

You can get both your battery and alternator checked for free at autozone. Ask them if they can check them while still on the car. Use a load tester to check the battery and maybe you will have to take the alternator inside and have them put it on the test bench.
Alternator problems are on many type of cars and putting an OEM back in it is the only way to go, rebuilt OEM is ok in my book.

Throw a new brush pak in that ALT. Get the Alt loose and remove the back plate, and the terninal insulator, where the battery wire attaches. Then you'll see the brush pak held in with 2 phillips screws. Use a feeler gauge to help get the new brushes over the armature. Pretty simple job less than 1/2 the cost of a junky Reman Alt. Then you can party with the money you saved.
