Default ITB Manifold cost

About how much does it cost to have an ITB manifold built? What needs to be done is put the old flange through the bandsaw and just have tubing welded on.

Well the right way would involve using a brand new flange, and right now finding someone to make an intake flange is not the easiest thing to do.

to chop an oem manifold, using the itb's to line up where the pipes should be welded on, a machine shop/fab shop can weld it for $60+

my buddy got his welded for $60, but it was fairly cheap cause it was in a pretty cheap place..

I don't really want to use a new flange because the oem one is good(It's a DPFI one).

How was the quality of the $60 job?

I'm asking because I'm trying to see if it'll be cheaper to buy an OBX manifold and chop it or just have one built up.

i had a member on HT make me an ITB manifold from an old DPFI manifold for me, it was around $200, although for the end result and quality i got from it, i would expect to pay a bit more. the manufacturer went to lengths to blend the new tubes to the flange and the ITBs, filling in the now useless notches for the stock injectors and shaping the runners from the oval shape from the head to the round shape of the ITBs.

I was thinking, I'd just have them weld on a straight tube, and I'll shape the inside by using a funnel made out of those cardboard paper, and filling in the open area with liquid aluminum, and shaping it with a dremel.

I'd be worried that any epoxy or whtever would chip off and go through the motor.
