well today i changed my oil, checked my plugs for detonation and did a compression check... my gauge only reads to 300psi and it read a little higher then that in all cylinders, i had to put a mark on the gauge to see where they were at... i know it could be off a little bit but what compression numbers should i be getting with my setup
c5 block
pct pistons
b16 head
all stock and never been decked or anything
i was thinking high 200's but not anything near 300 or higher, i realize my gauge may not be the best but i was just happy they were all consistent!!
so what does everyone else get with similar compression as me, and whats my compression supposed to be with these pistons, i have read anything from 11.8-12.7...

yes, high 12's is where your compression is. You didnt check this before the work was done? or did you buy it like that.
around 300 psi sounds about right.

ya i was pretty sure it was in the 12's but i could never find a concrete answer lol, i know c-speeds calculator is wrong because of the wrist pin placement but i could never find anyone who calculated it precisely
not so much the wrist pin placement as much as the actual piston crown is taller...
compression is like 12.7:1... seen several setups like this in person, would never run one...
anyway two that come to mind, one pegged out a compression gauge at 300, and other kid actually bought a diesel compression tester lol.
