I just bought a 89 crx today and didn't relise that it has rear drums untill it was towed to my house. My qestion is, It says its a SI and as far as I can tell it is a SI but the rear breaks are whats geting me. Did the 89 crx SI come with disks or drums.

88-89 Si were drums..with optional discs..i wanna say..or they didn't come with discs at all....but yes thats rite 88-89 Si's can have drums..90-91 Si's were always discs..

yea i donyt know if the discs were optional or they just didn't offert them on Si's at all....all i know is drums on 88-89 Si's isn't wrong...and 90-91 they just standardized..the discs...thats all i know

 

the reason I need to know is im strpping this crx and was going to sell the rear disks but darn. thanks

 

why are you parting it out ?
Is is not a salvagable rex ?

its a goner front end is smashed and its rusted really bad. The motors blown open too.
I took all the interior out and put it in my crx. along with the working sunroof, doors, tail lights, and a few other goodes. I wish I could of fixed it but it is way to far gone to save. But for $170 I still got my $ out of it.
