how do i hook up this SAFC NEO in my civic? i have a 91 civic lx with a d15b2 us Mpfi converted. on the wiring diagram i believe i have to wire up
IG POWER
IG POWER
RPM
THROTTLE SIGNAL
GROUND

VTM SIGNAL
VTEC SIGNAL OUTPUT
VTEC SIGNAL INPUT
AIRFLOW AND PRESSURE SIGNAL OUTPUT
AIRFLOW AND PRESSURE SIGNAL INPUT
ILLUMINATION POWER
I dont need vtec signal and i donno what a vtm is

I think vtm is speed sensor
goto http://www.apexi.com and look up the vfac for the ef8, its pretty much the same minus vtec.
MAke sure u hook up the ground like the instruct to, the brown then the black or reverse i forget

so the wire torwards the ecu is output and the other half is input?

Yes the afc work by modifiying your map signal

No its doesnt power, ground and signal, tap the signal wire

My two IG Wires are hooked up to my radio which i think isnt safe, also my two Ground wires are hooked up to my radio which i also think isnt safe, my VTM wire is hooked up to my ECU but i dont think i need it, The RPM wire is hooked up to my shift light which is hoooked up to my Dizzy.
My ECU has no
IG Pin ( Unless its labeled something else ) Thats why i put them together and hooked it up to my Sterio
RPM Pin ( Unless its labeled something else ) Thats why i hooked it up to my shift light
My ECU has
2 Ground wires ( Which one do i use ) So i hooked it up to my Sterio
A16 Brown/Black
A18 Black/Red
3 MAP Sensor ( Which one do i cut? )
C11 White 1
C14 Green/White 1
C15 Yellow/Red
And
Whats KARMA!?!?!?

Look at the pinout show above, it shows u what pins to use. mapsensor signal is c11
Either ground is cool, ground is ground,
Karma is what goes around comes around

Ok so the rest of my wires are good? but i get ya.... umm VTM which is speed sensor i believe, i dont think i need that right? because usually vtec looks for speed but i dont have vtec so its useless. L0l Karma wtf! its for one of the wires i what goes around comes around is a pinout LOL!

Ok everthing wired up now when i start it it goes then dies, start it up again, it goes then dies, then it starts whats going on?
don't use radio wires!!!!
the ign behind the radio.....is not ign....it's acc
do yourself a favor...tag off of the fusebox or more preferably the ignition harness with the thick 12 gauge wires and tag your ignition there then run the wire to the kickpanel where the ecu is located. if you make all your connections come together into one central place...it's a little easier to diagnose and hookup.
pretty much anytime you add something you want to ground it in the kick panel....if you attach to an existing ground wire...sometimes is causes complications....it's a little extra werk
but it's worth the piece of mind to do it.
make sure you're not doing the twist-n-tape procedure(stripping wire back and wrapping the new wire around it and hopefully using electrical tape to cover the joint COMPLETELY) if you can avoid it.
if you HAVE to twist-n-tape strip back about 1/2 inch ofr the wire you're tagging into...take a pick tool or small screwdriver and "pierce" the exposed copper strands as to make a hole or loop in the strands. strip back the neo wire going to the cars wire about an inch and stick it thru the "loop" and then wrap it around the joint and tape it good. if you don't have the means to do it properly and solder it solid...this is "the next best thing" because even though there is no solder to keep it solid...as you pull on the wiring it only seems to get tighter the more you pull on it...a lot of times if you simply twist-n-tape the wire pulls out.
nehoo......high gauge high current ignition wires and separate grounds
