You can remove the whole thing. Open your hatch or trunk, remove the panel that covers the tail lights, not just the bulb part and there should be two nuts, one on each side.

There is two more on the under side of the car. They are in the same spot as up top, just underneath. Then there is four screws, two on each side of the bumper ends. Remove those and you should be able to pull the whole bumper and support right off the back of the car. Good luck.

And don`t forget to disconnect the plate lights, cause if you pull on the bumper these can ripped out of place.

Didnt notice until I took it off, but now I only got those 4 screws on the side holding the whole bumper.... any other way to make it more secure besides putting it back on?

Yeah there are like four bolts under the plastics directly behind the spare tire section and two under the back of the car. Unscrew the bumper clamps by the quarter panels and your done!

What do you mean? Hold the bumper to the car or to the bumper support(the big metal bar)?

If you have taken it off you can see how the bumper is held in place. Just metal brackets, which are pretty much spacers, and those funny screws you mentioned earlier. Thats the only thing that hold the plastic bumper to the metal support, then the metal support is bolted to the car and that`s it.

You good probably make some metal brackets or even wood if your just trying to hold it in place a little better.

I see now, you sold or your selling the support and just want to put the bumper back on. Just try and make a bracket and mount it where the support bolts used to go and use something to support the bumper from looking all twisted.

Go to the junk yard and see if they have one. I had the same problem as you with my bumper support crumbling off and I went to the local "you pull it" yard and picked one up for 40 bucks.

this company on ebay has front supports, so they might be able to get you a new rear support.
