just bring it to a reputable machine shop and have them mic it out, maybe xray/magnflux it to check for stress cracks... while its there you can have them micropolish it if its good for your next build...

easiest way is to run your fingernail on the journals to feel for any catch/cratch. If not, then put it back in the block with the mains and main bearings and torque it down. Try turn the crank, it should turn smoothly with little effort. If not, your crank is bent.

pull off the three main caps in the middle of the block, leave the outer 2 on. get yourself a dial indicator and put it on the ceneter mian journel of the crank. turn the crank slowly and watch the guage. if there is more than .002 inches of movement then the crank needs to be recut. your using the block as a set of v blocks.

I had 0.003" runout and I got my crank straightened at a crank shopt who had a manual press machine specifically made for straightening cranks. He got it down to around 0.0005" which is an estimation because my dial indicator only reads to 0.001"--cutting Honda cranks is iffy.

There was a slight but definite binding if you let the crank sit in certain positions with the bearings in and the main girdle on, after he straightened it--there was no binding whatsoever. Its working great so far.
