Default Autozone Axles

Does any one know the Part number for the auto zone axles for a gsr?

I called and asked if they had axles for my car and they said the don't carry them, but I see that alot of people on here recommend them.

Can someone let me know what's the part number.

Its because they recently changed the keyword search from Axleshaft to CV AXLE. So just tell them to search under the word CV AXLE and it'll pop out.

Otherwise, if your AZ reps are as stupid as the ones here in SoCal, the part numbers are 8061 for the Drivers side, and 8006 for the Passengers side.

No, they recently changed their keyword search in their computer database. They used to look under "axleshaft" and the parts would display, but now when they use that search word, the screen displays "Salvage or Dealership part only".

Now, they need to search under CV Axle in order to return results for the part. Halfshaft is not an option, and wont show up any part numbers.

Yeap, I had issues. Some get lucky, but I had to go through 3 Drivers and 2 passengers before I found a non-vibrating set.

just buy NEW, not reman. I was buying brand new GCK axles from AZ, but have recently switched to Napa's Brand New axles.. Cheaper and lifetime warranty.

I've ran Vatozone axles and most were junk--reman or the so called new ones they sold me. Currently running a reman PepBoys axle. Daily driven car...260whp 6.5psi, slammed tucking 16" LE37s 205/45/16. Still good after nearly a year of hard boosting.

Thanks again

Installed them, They seem to be fine no vibration what so ever.
You can't beat the price and lifetime warranty

So I'm pleased as of now.

AutoZone and NAPA both carry CCT-brand axles for their reman's, and yes they suck. I went through 3 sets myself in about a month trying to find a set that did NOT vibrate like crazy. My old OEM axles with torn boots didn't even vibrate but man those reman's were a POS. Finally I got a set that is working (the last set NAPA had in stock after I pretty much exhausted their whole inventory of Integra ABS axles), but the only problem is that the driver side axle is extremely difficult to get into the hub. It takes me about 30 minutes of hard yanking on the axle shaft to work the splined part of the axle far enough into the hub so that I can get the axle nut threaded on and pull it the rest of the way in.

Are you some sort of moron? PSI don't mean **** these days. Its about the resulting WHP from it. It's clear you don't know what you're even asking. So have a cup of STFU please.

What I meant by hard boosting is that my car saw boost daily (stock bottom end too). Let me put it to you this way... You can drive a car out of boost if you wanted to (to save gas) and within several hundred+ you will be building boost until you hit full boost (for me is 4500rpms).

Anyhow, you seem like a waste of time for wisdom.
Just out of curiousity, what kind of turbo do you have? What's your setup?

Good for you, you got a decent set. I also got a decent set... after changing them out 3 times! I still consider them a POS in general, especially w/ the difficult fitment of my driver side axle splines into the hub.

Are you using CCT-brand reman's?

I have bought atleast 10 pairs of axles without any issues for accord's, teg's and civic's. I'm not sure what the brand they are, I would have to look around for an old box.

autozone remans suck *****! i dont know about the "new" axles they sell now, but the remans are just pure garbage--stay away unless changing axles is what you would consider a good time.
