anyone know how to Mix the Paint and Primer ? before paint?
im not sure if ur talking bout mixing like shaking or mixing as in adding reducer to paint so if ur gonan mix it, just use a stirring stick, and usually stir it one direction but if ur asking bout adding the paint to reducer
depending on what type of paint or primer, if its unmixed primer, you should add some hardener, and if it says to reduce it, add the necessary reducer, but with most of the primer i use, i just add hardener. With Paint, say u buy 2 quarts of a certain type of paint, it should come with a set of mixing instructions for example, like 1:1. that means for every quart of paint, you add one quart of reducer.
Clear is another question, thats where it really should say how to mix. like 4:2:1 means 4 quarts of clear, 2 quart of reducer, 1 quart of activator but every different type of paint, primer, clear has its own instructions and one type wont work for another

read the tech sheet for the paint and it'll tell you how much to put in.

Wow, my primer needed a 2 to 1 ratio. So much for a few drops.

Whenever you go buy paint from the supplier they can tell you the mixing ratios. To be honest no one can tell you how to mix it on here until we know the ratios. Reason being we dont know what kind of paint your using or the ratios. At work the primer I use is 4:1. 4 parts primer to 1 part hardener. I usually throw some reducer in too.
yeh, well with my primer, its just cuz i never mix alot at a time, only to do the spots and i just say f the instructions cuz ive been doing it so long its just a matter if how fast u want it to dry and how thick u want the primer to set, and oOo INFARED lamps are cool

Op: To avoid confusion i would buy a mixing cup, it will give you all sorts of different ratios so no guessing involved.
Ask the people you buy the product from what the ratio's are and dont forget the paint strainers
Have you bought your "gun/s" as of yet?

Every type of paint/paint manufacter differs. Not all basecoat uses hardener. When you go purchase your paint from the supplier they will have ALL the information you need to know. Until you have all the materials and mixing ratios we are not able to tell you how to mix.
