Default looking for advice on parting out a 97 Civic

ok, so one of my co-workers recently wrote off his 97 Civic CX hatch by hitting a dog.... it popped the air bags, smashed up the drivers front fender and bent up the suspension on the drivers side... insurance has paid him and allowed him to keep the car which he was gonig to let go to the wreckers for a couple hundred bucks

my question is this.... is there enough demand for pieces/parts from these cars that I'd be able to make some cash by parting it out? or is it possible that I'd find a buyer as is for a decent sum and make 500 bucks quick cash?

alternatively I could of course repair the damaged front suspension.... cut the roof off and turn it into a dunebuggy redneck dunebuggy civic ftw... that oughta bring some of the purists to voice an opinion.. even if its not the one I want

thanks a ton in advance for the advice

Greeno
