which catback exhaust?
Im about to purchase a new exhaust for my gsr and ive narrowed my choices down to 2: skunk2 megapower and the espelir jgt500r. Ive read reviews and heard a few soundclips of both. Which one of these exhausts would you guys choose? Replies will be greatly appreciated.
I haven't really listened to the skunk2 megapower and the espelir jgt500r to carefully personally. But if it was me personally I would getthe apexi world sport 2. Its pretty quiet most of the time, and sounds good in vtec cause you can also here you motor roaring. I would go with that personally.
But theres a lot of other good exhausts companies, just about preference.

i'm partial to the apexi N1 but out of the 2 you listed i would go with the espelir personally as its got a great sound and not something you see everyday
the s2 is good without header and test pipe.... once you put those on its just to loud... i would also have to say apexi ws2 or if you want more exhaust noise... get the apexi N1...
I know a guy who had a Skunk2 exhaust, might as well had straight pipe and a megaphone. I am into quiet power, effective use of piping diameter, hi-flow cat, resonators and twin loop does the trick. It is straight thru for performance, with a deep tone, and quiet unless you go full throttle, then sounds aggressive without being obnoxious.
Or you could buy the Apexi WS or RSR ex mag. Guess you can tell I hate loud exhausts.

I've owned a couple Espelir's on DSM's I've owned, they were pretty darn nice. Been thinking about putting one on my Integra to replace the Ravin on it now.
I can't comment on Honda/Acura Apexi catbacks, but on the DSM side they "look" 3", but when you start cutting one apart... in some areas it goes down to 1 7/8" - 2"
I remember swapping to the Espelir from my N1, and suddenly my 2g was WAaaaaay louder. I called up RRE (who sold me the Espelir) and he shared with me a URL of an Apexi cut up revealing it's true internal diamter in certain areas.
