Default HID in 5th gen projectors?

i am very eager to pick up a set of HID headlamps for my 94 civic. i have heard many stories of blinding oncoming traffic with them because of a ighly scattered beam pattern. this isnt good. so i looked into the better beam pattern of the JDM lights but they use a slightly different bulb. one other option is projectors....

1) will H3 HID bulbs fit properly and work properly in 92-95 civic projectors?
2) if i assume correctly, will this give a proper beam pattern?
3) if this is not possible, are the dual low/high beam H4 HID bulbs any better at not blinding oncoming traffic in the stock headlight housings?
4) any other info you want to throw in there.....

thanks again guys...

anyone?

will the H3 HID kits work in the projectors for a 5th gen civic?
or
will the dual low/high beam HID bulbs provide the correct beam pattern in the stock headlights?

thanks.

You will be fine getting the lo/hi beam hid kit. If you adjust ur housing properly u wont be blinding oncoming traffic. I have an oem hid kit on my civic and Im not having any problems with blinding oncoming traffic

wtf...is there an HID conversion in H3??? WHERE!?!?

as for projectors, they take h3 and the high beam is h1.

i know of hid LOOKING h3 bulbs, but are there ACTUAL hid h3 conversion kits??

and will stock high beams (h1)'s work still. has to be a way....don't think i need conversion for h1 high beams because those bastards are bright and go EVERYWHERE which is what high beams do eh? ;P

**FOUND one....sorry, lol. I found BELOF HID h3 kit, are these any good?

hmmm.....i feel like a moron. i didnt even realize that there really arent many H3 HID kits out there. i was looking at kits from http://www.autolamps-online.com. they seem to have some really nice kits using all philips stuff. unfortunately they dont use any kits with H3 bulbs. i think im going to go with a dual beam low/high H4 kit anyways. oh well. thanks for all the replies anyways....sorry.

wells, i found a nice h3 conversion on here

http://www.hitechimportlighting.com/

there's a company called BELOF i think, i just found out about it too. thanks for pointing it out.

but i have projectors on 5th gen civic and they take h3's low beams, and h1 is high beam, im finding out now (waiting for an email from them) to see how much the h3 HID kit is.

here is a direct link to it

http://www.hitechimportlighting.com/bellofhid.htm

they have both h3 and h1 so u could go all out j-spec HID man TIGHT haha, h3 is only one u'll need though. i'm sure it's not THAT much. probably $200 or so

If you think your blinding oncoming traffic, look at the stock IS300's with them, they are blinding from the factory..It's the same with the Acura TL's man those are bright too...I install phillips on my 6th gen civic si, took off the limiters on the bulb and the headlight housing, ran serveral people off the road, got 10 people flashing high beems on me..I just put the bulb limiter and it works fine, a little bright but may occasionally get high beam flashed once in a while, but that's the sacrafice for better driving lights..

hey bro.... i've went through 2 sets of hid's already.. this is what u do.. just get the one that'll fit your car... then aim them so like.. lets this.. u park behind another car.. aim ur headlights so that it's not THAT blinding to the car in front of u when u sit in it.. aim them up and down that is.. then drive up to a wall and make sure they are even in hiehgt.. then drive around for a nite and see how it is.... u might needa adjust it again for fine tuning.. i do it everytime i change bulbs so that i dont blind peoiple too much... hey... if u are using projector headlights.. u might wanna lookinto getting D2S bulbs instead of D2R.. d2s doesn't have a piece of metail covering part of the bulb... d2s is meant for projector headlights whereas d2r is meant for reflector type.. if u get d2s it'll be perfect.. but im not sure if manufacoteres give u that option... bellof ison of the top companies in japan... in us.. try mccullgh or somethign i heard they're ok.. but DONT get FOCUZ, KING, or anything taiwain ones.. u dont want them blowing out/up on u.... good luck.. let me know if u need help with finding a set... aim: hahajoey or pm me

DAMNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I emailed BELLOF for their prices on HID H3 Conversion kits and this is what I got just barely:

Hi Brandon,

Selected Bellof HID kits are on sale this month and the H3 kits just
happen to be one of the Bellof system types on sale. The regular price
is $899US but for the month of May 2002 the H3 Bellof kits are $799US.

Please let us know if you are interested in ordering a system as stock
levels are low due to the current sale prices.

We now also accept payment through PayPal.

We look forward to your reply.

Sincerely,
Bill Emery

You probably don't see very many H3 HID kits because halogen H3 bulbs have a SUCKY beam pattern with its tranverse filament. I don't know if an HID H3 capsule would have a beam pattern similar to a halogen H3, but if it does, I wouldn't want them. That's why aftermarket projectors for Civics suck, because of the H3's beam pattern.

ummm....not to sound like a dick, but i've NEVER seen a TRUE HID system that costs less than $300....most of them are 800-1500...and that 799 price for the Belof's is a dang good price

where do you get a true HID system for less than $300?
