I have a LS Vtec That i just got and i have a D16y8 wiring, And i was hoping that I can fit The D16 wiring on. So far I saw that the distubeder has 2 extra wires. Is ther any way that i can just add thows two wires to were ever they go, Or do i HAVE to get Si wiring?


(Note: Its 00 Si head and 95 LS block with tranny, And i bought a ls vtec swap kit that i allreaddy put on)

 

What year is the distributor from? Does it match the year set of the harness?

all head stuff is off a obd2b, and im gona change the altornater to a obd2a from a 98 ls. That sound right? Or do i need on off a 00 SI?

 

It just has to match the wiring harness...whatever that is. So, if youre sure its a y8 harness, and an obd2b dizzy doesnt fit, you should be fine with an obd2a dizzy, instead.

99-00 em1 si wiring/dizzy is obd2b...so you would have the exact same issue.
