Well of course trade it in, but you need to know the prices first....?
And I hope you don't think they will do a straight trade...

Get a quote from Carmax first. Understand you will probably need to put money down too. You have only been paying on your car for 2-3 years, so I doubt it is even close to payoff. You want the trade in estimate to be greater than your payoff. Otherwise, you either wash the trade or have negative equity (bad decision).
Now that you have that information, Determine what you are willing to pay as the CASH PRICE for the Si. Do not negotiate by the payment amount. Bad idea.
Have the dealer match or exceed the trade-in value Carmax quoted you. If not, walk away. Don't be rash and do the deal anyway. Also, your state may have a tax break with trading your car in with the dealer. Cash Price - Trade-in = Taxable Value
Hope this helps. Good luck.

If its what you want, go for it. Sell the car privately for sure. I was considering selling my civic after only 4k miles.. dealer offered me almost 5k below what I paid for it, but when I listed it privately on Carsoup for only $800 below retail, I was getting a LOT of inquiries. People are cheap...

I traded my 05 LX special edition for my Si. I paid 15,300 for my LX and traded it in for 14,500, with 11k on it. I think I made out good and I only owed 6000 something on it. Just know how much your car is worth to the dealership... go to edmunds or something and demand the top price or walk. They will try to give you much less..

But thats only because they have to, otherwise they wont make any $ for their own resale. Oh well, go private, you'll make way more $.
