are you talking about just slapping a vtec head on a stock ls block? if that's the case gsr all day.

4 the money lsvtec with b16 pistons for all motor ....gsr if u got the cash both r great just what u plan on doing.....both r good just have to built them right and not cut corners.

i chose the gsr cus it has piston oil squrters, it helps keeps the piston and the cylunder walls cool.

but for the money an ls with b16 pistons will school a gsr but you will see light purple smoke cus the cylinders are cooking from not getting enuff lub in high rpms.

the squirters arent needed with forged pistons. but if sticking with stock internals they are a nice thing to have.

you have other things to worry about if you're getting smoke like that. probably bad rings.

if your not going to balance your ls block and just slap on a vtec head then forget it not worth my money.
