What other options other than the CX manual rack will work in a G3 ?
After market racks?
Racing?

 

I've had no problems with my rack since I've removed the pump, reservoir, etc. and looped the system, although the CX unit is quite a bit lighter according to Mike K. I also remember somone on this board modifying the power rack by basically gutting all of the power components from it, though I'm not sure how much the weight savings from that are.

 

Yes it works (ask Mike K) but the ratio sucks for tracking unless the only track you see is 1320 feet long

Craig - Who has looked into getting a custom manual rack but cost way too much.

 

if you want to ditch the p/s, just remove everything and plug the rack. done. a non p/s rack is going to have a slower ratio ie: you have to turn the steering wheel more for a given turn. imho, that is a waste.

 

its barely any change.. ive done it.. manual rack has a much better feel.
