Tranny/Axle Issue?
Hello,
Tranny installed is an S1 Cable tranny to a B18B Block. Clutch has been replaced a little over 1k miles ago.
I did search, and from what I've read it's the tranny.
Anyway, car had tiny jerks when engaging clutch (felt like misfires). It did it twice within an hour of driving. Finally trying to go after the light turned green the car froze (clutch engaging). It just wouldn't move even though the car was in gear and clutch was transferring all the power to the tranny.
It is very hard to get the car out of gear, impossible when car isn't running and it's also impossible to get it into neutral even though the shifter lever is in neutral the gear is still engaged.
Is it the axles, something with clutch or tranny is fried...
Thank you. Look on my MySpace blog to read the rest of the story. (Link in sig).

How are you sure all the power was being transferred to the tranny?
This sounds like its a combination of the clutch and possibly the differentials. The fact that you cant get into gears well gives me reason to believe that the disc may be damaged or not aligned correctly, or that the release bearing is busted somehow.
I'm a little bit confused though when you said you can be in first gear and go absolutely nowhere, and also cant get into gears with the car off. So how is that?

Well, the car stalled out in first since it wasn't going nowhere. Revving the clutch with clutch engaged I was able to move the stick to Neutral position but tranny was still in gear... Linkage problems?
It almost seems something is jammed, clutch grabs good, because the car will stall out, if I let go of the clutch pedal no matter how much throttle im giving it.
