Default Brake upgrade question

I was looking around the other day to upgrade my brakes and i came across these on fastbrakes.com
http://fastbrakes.com/shop/pro...d=864
http://fastbrakes.com/shop/pro...d=783

i was wondering if anyone has any brake setups similar to this and how they like it?
also, it says you need at least a 17" wheel, will the 05-06 rsx-s wheels clear these brakes?

If you get those, make sure you somehow find a proportioning valve to properly balance the front-rear braking forces so that your distances won't increase.

These days, the only off-the-shelf brake kit I'd go for is Stoptech. If you start piecing together components that weren't originally designed for each other, you can actually end up with worse performance (or at least nowhere near what's possible), and I wouldn't chance it with braking systems.

ill link what he said

The stock rears are fine so far for me, so upgrading those is WAY WAY WAY later (if at all). The fronts could use some help (bias is fine stock).

As for the fronts, its cool to use OEM parts but when spending $1600 Id prefer just to have a completely bolt-on kit from the aftermarket. STOPTECH does a lot of work to make some of the best brakes for our cars, they are a REALLY quality peice. It comes down to what calipders you want to use, OEM or aftermarket. Without knowing the piston size, caliper volume, and what the TL-S had in way of mastercylinder, I would go with STOPTECH (they had to R&D for each specific car).

I dont know about you, but what I would really like is a larger bore moaster cylinder for our cars, 15/16th isnt cutting it... I'd like some more pedal travel.

Happy motoring!

btw thanks for the help/info everyone. so would you just recommend me keeping the stock brake setup and just upgrading the rotors and pads?

Upgrade just the pads first, and maybe put in some fresh fluid. If you still fade the brakes even after installing some more aggressive pads, then it's time to look for larger rotors.

The only thing you'll really get out of fancier rotors is looks. "Iron is iron", pretty much, and using some inexpensive blanks will do just fine, especially when you're going to be beating the living hell out of them anyway.
