Default ES isn't enough: inserts for upper motor mounts?

.....For all the trouble to put them in, ES inserts aren't "hardcore" enough for me. The lowers were a bitch to put in, but they don't have an uppers kit.....

Anybody got some feedback for me on upper motor mount inserts or replacements?

Thanks.

I think SRR makes some pretty stout mounts for b-series motors. Somebody makes them.

Alright "Mr Hardcore"...why not just buy some used motor mounts and get alu. inserts made for them. That should do it!

The Prothane kit uses the upper mounts. That should take care of it...

www.prothanesuspension.com
has the best prices.

I think you will loose your fillings and just about every bolt on the car with solid motor mounts... the Poly ones are pretty damn rough on there own.

I've got a full Mugen set waiting to go in (all 5), and will also make use of the ES ones (all three, that are in the car already).

boost owns!

The ES ones helped a lot.
Makes the car vibrate a bit at idle, they've got to be doing something !

Just that some of us are never satisfied.

Thanks Ed. At last someone who understands! I'm gonna try stacking some steel washers in place of the rubber uppers and see how that feels. Weld the motor to the car? Hmmmmm........

if you dont allow the engine SOME movement, it will break the mounts off of the
frame. Be prepared to weld the mounts back to the chassis

Ken, I saw these kick *** mounts at Inline-Pro yesterday!
Looked to be filled with silicone/epoxy or something.

http://www.inlinepro.com i believe.
Stan is the man that answers the phone and seems to be the owner.

.....well I couldn't find jack **** that Energy Suspension makes for upper inserts.

I checked http://www.prothane.com for upper motor mount inserts and I couldn't find anything they make to fit the dc2R...

I can't find anything at http://www.inlinepro.com either, so it looks like I'll have to give them a call this coming week. I don't wanna replace all the motor mounts just yet, but some inserts for the uppers would be nice.....

Edit: I just found some at the site someone recommended a long time ago:

http://www.prothanesuspension.com/1acura.html

Anybody have these and wanna tell me about your experiences?

Ed, the Mugen motor mount kit has room for inserts too? I'd have thought they were solid through and through.....

Btw: girls seem to like the "vibration" that the car has from "stiffer" inserts.....
