help ls distributor on gsr?
i don't need vtec, i just need to start it and idle for about 5 minutes giving it no gas, can i take my old 91 ls distributor and put on a 94 jdm gsr, just to start it, i'm using my old ls wiring harnes with a rywire jumper for the ecu, p72. i have the ls wiring harness already modd for the gsr distributor, just wouldring if i can wire back up the ls distributor, just to start the car, i'm not driving it any where, just trying to determine if my gsr dristributor is shot. anyone?
the all in answer is yes, it doesnt bolt up properly, so dont honk on it but yes you can use it. something is telling me you have to do something with your Vtec solenoid first too though so its not trying to engage
Yes you have to cut the one arm off. Probably will only get the top bolt it. I dont know if the clips will work. Is a Obd1 dizzy clips the same as obdo clips.
my local shop told me to do it so i could get my car to him cause my Vtec dizzy was fried when i bought it from JDMsource, he said i could use the LS dizzy but it will only make one bolt, and like these guys said you'd have to mod it but it will work once you have it mounted.

yes. my first gsr ar had a ls distibutor. the side mounting legs were gone. the only mounting spot was the upper leg. i since swapped it out for vtec distibutor. i'm glad i did too because although it worked great i noticed it was a generic one. i feel more comfortalbe with authentic honda equipment.
