hey guys. i got my car 3 days ago woohoo..(pics in sticky threads)...anyways.

i got a new shift **** because the stock one seems too big and a bit tall.

i got the new **** on just fine but the plastic ring under it is a little oval and wouldnt fit around the base of the ****.

any ideas on what to do?

i was thinking to vice grip the oval to make it circular. or should i just remove the plastic ring?

what do you think i should do?

(OT) also i was wondering how many miles till i get an empty tank form when the gas light comes on....3k rpm shifting

i thought they gave you another plastic ring with it? i dont know..but what kind of shift **** is that?

it didnt come with another plastic ring but with a bolt. i didnt want to use it because it makes the **** higher.

 

Get a new boot......

That's what I did. It's a pit of a pain in the *** to take out the old one and swap it out, but it's completely worth it.
